Multilayer pipe system for water supply.

Pexal® is a system composed of multilayer pipes and different fitting types that fully meet the requirements of every installation and application: including the distribution of hot and cold drinking water, centralised water supply systems, radiator and fan heating systems, radiant floor, wall and ceiling heating and cooling systems, compressed air systems and industrial plants.

An important trait of Pexal® multilayer pipes is that they combine the advantages of synthetic materials and in particular, those of crosslinked polyethylene, such as a high resistance to abrasion, corrosion and chemical agents, and a high standard of hygiene, with those of aluminium, such as an excellent resistance to high temperatures and pressures, dimensional stability, an unequalled barrier to oxygen and light and a low thermal expansion.

Product Features

  • Combines the advantages typical of metal pipes with those of plastic pipes.
  • Total barrier to oxygen thanks to the aluminium layer.
  • One pipe alone for numerous applications: systems for water supply, high and low temperature heating and cooling and for the distribution of compressed air.
  • Certification for transporting drinking water.
  • Maximum hygiene.
  • Maximum operating temperature of 95°C and 10 bar.
  • Both the external and internal layers are crosslinked.
  • Extremely easy and rapid installation: once bent the pipe remains in position.
  • The pipe can be bent several times.
  • Available in straight lengths and in coils and with 6 and 10 mm insulation.
  • Excellent resistance to shock clorination by means of sodium hypochlorite. There are new treatments based on chlorine dioxide and monochloramine, for which there are no compatibility data: use is not recommended.
